Set a default classification level for work items

Ensure work items in a chosen project are always classified by setting a default classification level for that project. Find out more about default classification levels.

You can set a default classification level for a project once your organization admin has set up classification levels for your organization.

You must be a project admin to set a default classification level.

Set a default classification level for a project

1. From your service project, select Project settings, then Data classification.

2. Choose the classification level you want to use as the default for work items in this project.

3. Select Save.
